Frequently asked questions
Questions investors ask us most
Straight answers before you reach out. Can't find what you need? Contact us directly or message us on WhatsApp.
Getting started
Who can invest with EriKidan Ltd.?+
EriKidan Ltd. is built primarily for the diaspora — Eritreans, Rwandans and other members of our community living abroad — along with anyone who shares our vision and wants to invest responsibly in Rwanda. Membership is by registration and completed verification, not open public trading.
What is the minimum investment?+
The minimum contribution is USD 5,000. There is no fixed maximum — larger contributions are welcome and are reflected proportionally in your shareholding.
How do I actually join?+
Start on the Register Interest page. After you submit your details, our team follows up to walk you through the next steps: identity verification, share documentation, and your contribution. You can also message us first on WhatsApp if you'd like to ask questions before registering.
Is registration still open?+
Yes. New member-investor registration is open now and will remain open until the end of August 2026, ahead of our first launch. The banner at the top of the site always shows the current countdown.
Verification & security
Why do you need to verify my identity?+
Every shareholder and partner completes an independent identity and anti-money-laundering check before gaining full member access. This protects the company and every investor in it, and is standard practice for any responsibly run investment company. See our Governance & Trust page for more.
Where does verification happen?+
Verification happens privately inside the member portal after you log in — never through this public website, email attachment, or a public contact form. If anyone asks you to send ID documents outside the member portal, treat it as suspicious and contact us to confirm.
Is my personal and financial information safe?+
Yes. Verification is handled by a dedicated, secure identity-verification partner, and your information is used only for membership and compliance review. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Shares, returns & risk
What do I actually own when I invest?+
You receive shares in EriKidan Ltd., a private company limited by shares in Rwanda. Your rights and obligations are governed by your issued shares, company documents and applicable Rwandan law — documented, not verbal.
What returns can I expect?+
We do not promise any fixed return, dividend or appreciation. EriKidan Ltd. is a private company and does not offer public securities; all opportunities are subject to due diligence, documentation, applicable law and professional review. Please read this as general information, not financial advice.
Does my ownership percentage shrink if new members join?+
No. Your residency and ownership basis are anchored to the documented value of your investment — your share certificate and proof of payment — not a fluctuating percentage. New members joining later does not shrink what you already hold.
What sectors does EriKidan invest in?+
We start with professionally managed real estate and expand, with shareholder approval, into hospitality, ICT, agriculture, import/export and other vetted opportunities. See Sectors and Opportunities for details.
Living & residency
Can investing help me get residency in Rwanda?+
Owning and running a registered Rwandan business — such as EriKidan Ltd. — can generally qualify you for a renewable business/entrepreneur residence permit. Requirements change, so always confirm current rules with the Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration (DGIE) before relying on any figure. See our Invest in Rwanda guide for details and official links.
